Classic Backgrounds MVP

I had fun making this scrapbook page...pictures of my son, Ross, playing in the All-Star game his senior year of high school. His team went undefeated and (not to brag too much), he had one of his best games EVER! A grand slam! Of course, like most boys when around their friends, he didn't want me to take his picture...I surprised him with this shot, so it isn't the best lighting...but beggars can't be choosy!

This is one of the 12x12 scrapbook pages I did for Display Maker using the Classic Backgrounds stamp set. Funny, the minute I saw the set, these pictures and scrapbook page come to my mind. I cut the baseball round shape with my Coluzzle and hand pierced and drew the stitches. I made the spiral punch go down the side, and then the row of pierced faux stitching. I stamped the small stars background stamp in the corners, then cut out each of the red larger stars (I wasn't given the punch to use...bummer!) The alphabets are Well-Worn Alphabet and Schoolbook Serif Alphabet.

I don't do a lot of scrapbooking (cards and 3D items give me instant gratification)...but I do like it when a page comes together!

Class on the Go Kit

For my classes, I recently adapted the Tie the Knot Scrappin Kit card class that Patty Bennett created. My stampers loved the classes and using the GORGEOUS papers and die-cut adhesives in this kit! Boho Backgrounds Zoo page

A rainy day here...lots of rain! At least it isn't snow...but we are hovering right around that temperature. Of course, I'm supposed to head out of town in the morning, so I hope it stays rain and doesn't turn into freezing rain or snow.

Thought I'd share another scrapbook page I made for the Displays at Leadership featuring the assigned set Boho Backgrounds. A couple pictures of my adorable niece and nephew visiting the zoo...aren't they cute? My brother captured their pictures hugging the cement penguins.

Along the left I used the Spiral punch on Basic Black cardstock. The medallions have a jumbo eyelet in the center, and I used the scallop punch and two Round Tab punches beneath the scallop to make a circle around it. The tree is the Origami folding pattern...it is fun to make the pattern/tree as small or large as you want, depending on the size of your paper! This was a fun page and one that came together easily. I pictured the left row of medallions on a page as soon as I saw this set.

Stitched Exotics 5

Yes, another sample for the Display Boards at Leadership. This time, my niece. I thought the title appropriate, don't you? She has the cutest little apple cheeks! Lots of accessories used on this 12x12 page, too. I used the large flower from the Pretties Kit and a couple of the pearls. I dyed it with watercolor crayons in Baroque Burgundy and the aqua painter. I also colored a Chipboard flower with Handsome Hunter Craft Ink to go behind the one stamped flower, adding Irridescent EP on top. The leaves all are punched with the 5 petal punch with Faux Diamond Dust from Handsome Hunter paper(another Technique Junkies technique!) A couple Build-A-Brads and the new alphabet set, Schoolbook Serif for the letters in Apple and Big Deal Alphabet for Cheeks. And, the 5/8 Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon and More Mustard Designer Paper in the background.

Finally feeling like I'm back on the Eastern timezone. We were hit with some snow...but not as much as they were anticipating. I stayed home and cut the stamp rubber from all the NEW sets that came yesterday! Woohoo! New rubber to play with! But I was super excited that the SAB sets were all precut...all I did was mount them! Yeah!

Halloween mini scrapbook

I've been busy working on several Stampin' Up! projects that I can't really share yet, so I thought I'd show you a project I did last week.

Once in a while, I like to take a class at one of our local scrapbook stores. It feels good to be the "student" instead of the "teacher"! While browsing the store a couple weeks ago, I saw this upcoming class and decided to take it. She used the Bo Bunny product line. Now...my kids are grown, no grandchildren yet, so I might have to pull out some old pictures of Halloween with my kids...but I just thought it was darling! It is built on a chipboard trapezoid book and has 10 inside pages for pictures! The ribbon handles make it carry like a "purse". I had lots of fun making it.
