BLOG CANDY!!!! 40,000 hits!

Oh my gosh, everyone! We FLEW by 40,000 hits on my Blog! I can't believe it...thank you SO much for visiting. I hope I'm giving you lots of ideas. It is the season for being thankful, so I'm going to put together a Blog Candy package to give away! Now...to be honest...I knew I was getting close to 40,000, but I have procrastinated putting any thought into what I would give away. I promise I'll put together a sweet little package for you! Hopefully I can get a picture up tomorrow. But, in order to win this blog candy, I'd like you to post a comment about something that you are grateful for...I'll choose a random winner on Sunday, November 18th!

Here is another Star Box I made...this one a little shorter than yesterday's box. I happen to like it a little shorter. Someone asked if I would make a lid for them when I gave them away. No, I probably won't make a lid, but I will stamp some tissue paper to hang out above the box. I used Cutie Pie paper on this one (I HOPE this stays in the new catalog!) The DSP is layered onto the Saffron Cardstock...making it less bulky than the one I made yesterday. These are a LOT of fun to make!

I used Ginormous Flowers in Purely Pomegranate, punched with the 1 3/8" circle, then punched the Scallop Circle punch from Wild Wasabi, and used the Round Tab punch to make my circle for behind the Scallop punch...in the center is a little pink Rhinestone brad! Enjoy!

What I am grateful for: I can see God's hand in my life as He has brought my husband and me to a place where we feel confident and empowered to create a closer bond between us and our adult sons.

My children and grandchildren are my greatest joys and I'm thankful that all are healthy, happy and settled (the adults). I'm grateful that God has seen fit to bless me with another grandchild to be born in May. I'm grateful for all the wonderful people who share so freely of the talents in the blogging world of crafting. I could go on, but I'm sure others want a chance, too.

There is so much I am grateful for but the one thing that tops my list is my gratefulness to God who loved me so much that he sent me his son!

I'm most grateful for my husband and his family. After loosing both of my parents in the same year, I felt orphaned (even though I was 42 at the time). Then I met my husband and he has been by my side ever since; even when others have abandoned me. He and his family have made me feel like a part of their family, for which gratitude doesn't even begin to express how I feel.

I am grateful for my family. They have allowed me to follow my life path without criticism and with tons of support. Especially my mom, whom I just know is there, and that's enough...

I am most thankful for my family & the chance that I get to live each day god grants another day to me. When I have bad days I try to remember that there are so many other less fortunate people than myself. Congrats on your blog success. I love your work & enjoy seeing your creations.

Hi Connie, First of all I'm thankful for you offering this Blog Candy! Thank you!! I am thankful for many things in my life. I am blessed with a healthy family that I love with all my being. I do have to say I'm thankful for God giving me my son though. It was 10 long years that we tried to conceive and all the while going through horrible testing. Finally, God thought we were ready and gave us this beautiful baby boy. Not before another test though. You see, my son wasn't breathing when he was born. He was 3 weeks early, that's really not to early, and his head was stuck between my pelvis and my hip bone and he couldn't move. I had an emergency c-section and when he arrived he just wasn't breathing. Of course, the doctors knocked me out right away while they took care of my little angel. He is 4 years old and very healthy now and I treasure him more than life itself. Thanks for the opportunity to comment and thank you for the wonderful projects on your blog. I do enjoy checking in every day to see what you've come up with. Happiness and Hugs to you this holiday season!

There are so many things to be grateful for, it's hard to choose! I'd have to say one central thing I'm thankful for would be my body (though it does not meet supermodel standards). I have a relatively healthy body. I have been able to carry two amazing children, whom I love more than I ever thought possible. I have the ability to see - which enables me to create. My brain functions. I can walk. I can talk. I can hear. I can taste. I can cuddle. I can kiss. So many blessings - they are innumerable - that come from having the body I have... and I'm thankful for it. Even though it does not fit into any molds... I'm thankful for it.
